# Vault system

The vault is the core of the experiment.

It holds all active positions.

### How it works

* Every mint → adds a new position or contribution to the vault
* Every burn → removes one random older position from the vault

### Important

* Positions are **opened at mint**
* Positions are **assigned at burn**
* These are NOT the same

### What this means

* You fund positions
* You don’t control which one you receive

👉 You are interacting with a live pool of risk

### 🗳 Community Control

The Positions are not fixed.

The community decides what gets added and removed.

* $DBE holders vote on positions
* New strategies can be introduced
* Existing ones can be removed

👉 You control the fate of the experiment
